The Meineke Car Care Center on Gettysburg Road in Camp Hill will get you going again if your car won't start.

You had decided to get all your errands done today so you don't have to go out into the snowy, stormy weather that's predicted for tomorrow. So, of course, what happens? Your car won't start.

Of course.

It's not unusual for a car's battery to fail in cold weather. If that's the problem, it's an easy fix. But it might not be the battery. Other car parts could be to blame.

"Starting your car on a chilly day only to find that the engine won’t turn over is frustrating. If the battery is older, it could be dead. Try jump-starting the vehicle. If it starts, you should drive the car to the nearest mechanic or service center to have the vehicle inspected and the battery replaced, if necessary," seattletimes.com says. "If the battery is new, thick engine oil, a bad starter or alternator, faulty spark plugs or frozen fuel lines might cause the car not to start. Tow your car to the nearest service center or mechanic to accurately diagnose and resolve the problem."

Seattletimes.com adds, " To prevent spark plug failure, have them inspected during regular maintenance services and replace any corroded, worn or cracked plugs. To prevent frozen fuel lines, park the car in a warm location — like the garage — and keep the gas tank as full as possible to minimize excess air that leads to frozen lines."

But your more immediate need is getting on the road again. You can do that by calling the trusted Camp Hill car care technicians at the Meineke Car Care Center on Gettysburg Road for help. If that's not convenient, call one of our other 12 car care centers in south central Pennsylvania:
