How to keep your car’s air conditioner working well

The heat is on! Keep it cool!

Summer is here. Now is the time to show your air conditioner a little love. Make its job a little easier this summer by following these 3 simple "rule to cool".

1. Park in the shade when possible. Your car's interior will start out cooler if you find a shady spot to park.  When the interior starts out cooler, the A/C will have less work to do when you rev up your car. And before you start your engine, roll down the windows and let the hot air escape.
2. Set your Air conditioner to recirculate. Once your cabin temperature reaches a comfortable temperature, switch it over to recirculate. Your A/C system will then pull air only from within the cabin. Not only will it save wear 'n tear on your A/C system, but you’ll save on gas, as well.
3. Change your cabin air filters regularly. Your cabin air filters are designed to remove dirt and dust from the air that comes out of the vents. But, when the filter gets dirty, the air trying to pass through is restricted, making your A/C work hard to keep you cool and comfortable.
